Chapter One: The beginning of the end.

Kimmy approached the red, old, boring car and sat in it. “Mom when are we leaving?” She asked in an annoyed tone. “Right now.” Her mom answered as she put the keys in the ignition. The car stalled a few times then started up. Kimmy stayed silent for the majority of the car ride, staring at the different shades of the leaves on the trees. They soon entered a green, wooded, quiet area and they got out of the car. “You sure it’s here?” She asked, slightly confused. “I’m very sure my dear, we just need to find the burial place.” She answered as she looked around. The sky was getting dim with many shades of pink and orange. Kimmy approached a rock that had ‘JP+HW’ written on it. “Mom I found it..” She started digging up next to the football shaped rock. Soon enough, she had discovered a purple glowing orb. “Is this the orb you spoke of?” She asked her mom. “Yuppers, and it's still in great condition too!” She said in an excited tone. Kimmy picked it up and then the glowing orb floated in the air. “This has to be witchcraft- are we in a sci-fi movie or something and I don’t know it?” She said, as she was quite surprised at her discovery. “Nope, this is real-life stuff hun.” Her mom said giggling a bit. The orb then exploded and a bunch of lightning bolts emerged from it, forming glowing purple creatures who looked as if they were made from electricity. They both shrieked and started running towards the car. “THIS WASN’T SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN!” Her mom shouted, while she got inside the car. She started the car and drove off in a hurry.

As they reached home, they were both sure that they had been hallucinating and they were to head to the ER in the morning. They both walked inside not saying a word to each other then they went straight to bed.

They woke up the next morning from a rumble of the ground. “Earthquake?” Kimmy mumbled as she sat up in her bed. She walked off into her mom’s room and looked at her. “I think we had an earthquake…” Said Kimmy’s mom. They both got up and opened the door, only to find the world completely dark and cold. The wind was so violent the door almost flew off, then they hurriedly slammed it shut. “IT’S SO DARK OUTSIDE!” Kimmy cried. “DID WE DO THIS?” Kimmy’s mom said as she gasped for air.
