The crimson talisman is about Vaddi D' Orien, the main character, Cellester, a cleric, Nyam Hordath, a simple trader, Zemella, an elf. Vaddi escapes from his home of Marazanath, when a vampire lord by the name of Caerzaal comes with an army of the undead, and strikes his father down. Caerzaal serves The Emerald Claw, and is after The Crimson Talisman which he can use to make himself and his army powerful. Caerzaal chases him across the Talenta Plains and into a city called Voorkesh, then they are chased into the Madwood, and eventually, they survive. I won't write it all here, but yes, it's a good book.
