https://prnt.sc/119z4f9 you were asked to determine the distance from the right center field fence to third base. If the right fielder catches the ball at the fence but the distance to third base is greater than the distance the right fielder can throw the ball in the air, can the ball still reach the third baseman? Provide at least two possibilities
the initial question was to determine the distance x from home plate to the right center field fence.
what does ur question look like
I'm kind of confused what the question is asking The diagram shows us that the distance from the right center field fence to the third base is 339.4 feet. If the person who caught the ball can't throw that far, will the ball reach the third baseman??
and then the question was how you are going to determine the distance x from home plate to the right center field fence. and i got 370 ft The question told me to look back at that question answer answer the question i asked
the question is confusing me

oki so wat are u looking for
cause there are 3 ways
Yeah, I got the initial question but for this question I'm not sure what "two possibilities" they're asking you to come up with how the ball can make it to the third baseman? just pass it to another person on the field so that way then it'll be closer to the end goal and that person can most likely throw it the remaining distance
. If the right fielder catches the ball at the fence but the distance to third base is greater than the distance the right fielder can throw the ball in the air,, can the ball still reach the third baseman
Yes, I can let's simplify that question you can only throw the ball 10 feet but if I'm standing 30 feet away from you, will the ball reach me?
can you see the third base
Where did you get you can only throw the ba;; 10 ft
it's an example... but the concept is the same the third base is where it says "3rd" the questions says that if the person catching the ball at the right center field CANNOT throw that far will the ball reach the third base?
what
idek to be honest ill just ask my teacher
lol
the distance is 339.4 feet the guy cannot throw the ball 339.4 feet he can only throw less than that will the ball make it all the way to the end?
it wont but its asking for the possibilities
Yeah, it won't I'm not sure what kind of possibilities they're asking for since this this is a math question and not a sports question lol But this is the only possibility that I could think of \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @AZ Yeah, I got the initial question but for this question I'm not sure what "two possibilities" they're asking you to come up with how the ball can make it to the third baseman? just pass it to another person on the field so that way then it'll be closer to the end goal and that person can most likely throw it the remaining distance \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\)
