If encountered by a lion, I think you have no option to run away from it. Because when u try running away
1. They get confirmed about u being weaker than them, hence it triggers their predator instincts. And you become their food(;
2. You can never outrun a lion so no use running

What can u do instead? Look into the eyes of lion, don't give a hint that you're scared. Act like you're gonna attack them if they don't attack you. You have to make him believe u are stronger, you're the predator, match his aggressive eyes and he'll run away, scared of you <3
