I can't speak for you but I can set down my opinion.

Poetry plays a part in my life to distract me from reality, sometimes I need a break from whats going on and forget reality. We all face something that we can run away from, and my talent is writing so I use that for a different perspective, because someday I can use it to help others and that will be amazing.

I love reading poetry because it calms me down and gives me comfort. It makes me laugh, makes me want to rule the world. It makes me passionate. Nothing else can do that.

Edgar Allen Poe is a great poetrist. I recommend for you to read some of his works.
