Remember what we said about calculating surface area? We have to find the area of each shape and then add them up all together They already gave you the area of the base We just need to find the area of the triangle The triangle has a base of 16 and a height of 20 What is the area of one triangle? and then remember we have 5 triangles, so to find the area of five triangles, you just multiply by 5

Mez666:

1600?

AZ:

No. Area of a triangle = 1/2 * base * height

Mez666:

ohhh

Mez666:

800

Mez666:

but not multiplied by 5 it would be

Mez666:

160

\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Mez666 800 \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) There you go so that's the area of the triangles and now just add the area of the base as well so 800 + 440.4 = ??

Mez666:

1240.4

AZ:

That's your answer

Mez666:
