After WWII many colonies in India, Middle East and Africa fought for independence from European imperial control? True False
i was thinking false
Why do you think this?
If you do a few google searches of when each European colony fought for independence, I think you could find your answer and maybe also those resources could help you with future questions if you read further.
And you would be wrong. Here is why... During WWII, Africa was colonized by many countries. Portugal, Spain, Britain, Germany, Italy, etc. India was colonized by Britain, and the Middle East was colonized by Britain and several others. After WWII, anti-colonization broke out. Britain lost control over India and Africa, and the Middle East. So did Portugal and Spain. And, so did the others.
What was happening though was that there were many colonies wanting independence. And eventually, they got it.
I might recommend reading up on the indian independence movement a bit, it was from the 1850s to around the end of WW2
