Robbie was observing a group of unknown organisms. He recorded his observations in his notebook as shown below. Based on Robbie's observations, what type of organism did he most likely find? fungus moss plant fern
Moss-Mosses are small, non-vascular flowerless plants in the taxonomic division Bryophyta. Bryophyta is now the formal name for mosses alone, whereas "bryophyte" refers to the informal group of liverworts, mosses and hornworts. Mosses typically form dense green clumps or mats, often in damp or shady locations.
Fungus- A fungus (plural: fungi or funguses) is any member of the group of eukaryotic organisms that includes microorganisms such as yeasts and molds, as well as the more familiar mushrooms. These organisms are classified as a kingdom, which is separate from the other eukaryotic life kingdoms of plants and animals.
Plant- Plants are mainly multicellular organisms, predominantly photosynthetic eukaryotes of the kingdom Plantae. Historically, plants were treated as one of two kingdoms including all living things that were not animals, and all algae and fungi were treated as plants.
Fern- A fern is a member of a group of vascular plants that reproduce via spores and have neither seeds nor flowers. They differ from mosses by being vascular, i.e., having specialized tissues that conduct water and nutrients and in having life cycles in which the sporophyte is the dominant phase.
The notes: Found in area of no light; has root-like structures; demonstrates hydrotropism.
