ok

Trickjoker:

Now, insulin is a hormone, and Merriam Webster states that hereditary means ' genetically transmitted or transmittable from parent to offspring The disease is hereditary'.

itsmehjay:

no, idk

KingPizza:

well insulin keeps your blood sugar at a normal level so it doesn't go too high or too low, so with a lack of insulin, you'd have a disease that involves a very high or very low blood sugar level so I hope this can help you to begin thinking about it

itsmehjay:

I still dont understand

KingPizza:

well this does not have anything to do with skin, and acne is when parts of your skin become blocked and you have skin problems, so we can eliminate choice A

itsmehjay:

ok

itsmehjay:

what else?

KingPizza:

well let's think, does insulin help control the shape of the cells?

KingPizza:

Sickle cell anemia is when the shape of the cells are misshapen, let's see, does insulin control that?

no

KingPizza:

okay then we've just eliminated choice C which says "Sickle cell anemia" so we're left with B and D

itsmehjay:

ok

KingPizza:

so let's see if insulin affects the heart. If it did affect the heart, it would keep the heart from pumping the way it should, and can be caused by high blood pressure. However, diabetes occurs when there is too much sugar and it could cause increased hunger and frequent urination, so which one of these sounds like it results from lack of insulin?

itsmehjay:

diabetes?

KingPizza:

yes, that's correct, because lack of insulin isn't responsible for most heart diseases.

itsmehjay:

ok, thanks
