snowflake0531:

\[(a-b)^2 = a^2 -2ab+b^2\] So try it with \[(5y-3)^2\]

boredfr:

Ok so first you have to set it up \[(5y+-3)(5y+-3)\] Then let's put it in expanded form \[(5y)(5y)+(5y)(-3)+(-3)(5y)+(-3)(-3)\] That will then come out to \[25y^2-15y-15y+9\] Which can be simplified to \[25y^2-30y+9\]

marissabartoldo:

so its D?

boredfr:

Yes, the answer is D. Do you understand how to get the answer?

marissabartoldo:

yes

marissabartoldo:

it was wrong
