Was the Berlin Wall the most important event during the Cold War?

The destruction of the wall had a lot of significance in germany as it was a first step of reunification to east and west berlin

But here in the U.S the only significance it has was during the berlin air lifts where we dropped off supplies by plane to east germany

But in the United States id say the vietnam war and korean war were very important events

SaltTheLoser:

As it embodied what the cold war was, the United States fighting communism
