Rylee88:

Can I have help, Please?

Rylee88:

On a coordinate grid, point P is at (5, 2) and point R is at (−3, −4). Points Q and S are a reflection of both points across the x-axis. What are the coordinates of Q and S?

Rylee88:

Not really :/

Creed:

It's the y vaule that's changed.

Creed:

|dw:1619191310151:dw|

Creed:

So when your y-vaule changes it becomes negative in the first one. \[(5,2)--->(5,-2)\] If you were reflecting it on the y-axis it would turn into ; \[(5,2)--->(-5,2)\]

Creed:

And for your second one, since it's already negative, negative turns into a positive; \[(-3,-4)--->(-3,4)\] I hope that helps! Sincerely, ℂ𝕣𝕖𝕖𝕕

Rylee88:

It odesnt XD i dont jnow how to do that

Creed:

Wait, let's do another example.

Creed:

|dw:1619191655094:dw|

Creed:

See how when reflected on the x-axis it turns upwards.

Creed:

If reflected on the y-axis, it would look like this; |dw:1619191815276:dw|

Creed:

Does that help a little more?

Creed:

Here, if not I have a short 1:32 min video to watch; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8fX2Drlpng Try to see if that helps.

Creed:

Let me know if that helps you! Sincerely, ℂ𝕣𝕖𝕖𝕕
