Please help with math. SS Below vvv
ah, proportions assume that the ammount of waster per each of the materials is 100%, and the ammount recycled is x% -- so: \[ \frac{\text{ammount of waste}}{100%} \times \frac{\text{ammount recycled}}{x} \] cross multiply, and you will have your answer do it for each of them individually
20.16? I don't get this.
what?
I don't get this
why? its pretty self explanatory and simple!
; - ;
ok, let me walk you through the first one so we said that proportions will be set up this way \( \frac{\text{ammount of waste}}{100%} \times \frac{\text{ammount recycled}}{x}\) lets do it for paper, the 1st material \( \frac{77.8}{100\%} \times \frac{26.5}{x\%}\) by cross multiplying we get: \[ 77.8 \times x\%=100\% \times 26.5 \Rightarrow x\%=\frac{100\% \times 26.5}{77.8}\]
oh :p
I did something else but alright.
So what's next?
Aluminium is next -- dont forget to finish the one i did above^^^^
what is x..
pardon? -- just do the math haha
Idk how to do that ; - ; never learned
oh wow -- ok so we left it here: \( x\%=\frac{100\ \times 26.5}{77.8} \) whats \( 100\ \times 26.5 \)?
2650
sweetas! and what is \( x\%=\frac{2650}{77.8} \) ?
34.06?
correct! do the same for the rest materials.
