diklicce685:

An ant travels 2.78cm [W] then turns and travels 6.25cm [S 40 E]. What is the ants total displacement?

SmokeyBrown:

Displacement is the distance an object travels relative to its starting position. The ant travels 2.78 cm West, then travels 6.25 centimeters SouthEast (with, I assume, the angle of the direction?)

diklicce685:

I got it the ant travels 4.94cm [S 76 E]

SmokeyBrown:

Oh awesome, good job!
