Yeah! IT'S IN AMERICA. 😀

kittybasil:

"Don't swim in freshwater" my foot. They said it exists in any unmanaged/unfiltered temperate water 😤😤

theyadoreshayyy:

atp- im not going anywhere except pools and freshwater

kittybasil:

The ideal water temperature for the amoeba is around 115 degrees Fahrenheit. Great! We're fine.

kittybasil:

Well, unless you live in the South. Then RIP you

theyadoreshayyy:

lol, atp they can survive anything

theyadoreshayyy:

i live in the south-

kittybasil:

Well at least you're only at risk for one! 🦠

theyadoreshayyy:

omg- i wanna cry

theyadoreshayyy:

what if i have one in me right now

kittybasil:

Obviously not. You'd show symptoms on the first day. Honestly, it's kind of scaremongering to have news about this without highlighting the absolute LOW risk of actually catching it. Especially if you have properly managed water systems.

kittybasil:

If you don't well then RIP. But that depends, what state do you live in?

theyadoreshayyy:

florida

kittybasil:

How is the water there?

theyadoreshayyy:

we aint exactly the cleanest state either

kittybasil:

Well, don't go to Malibu anytime soon.

kittybasil:

You gonna get zombie gators up in those waters

kittybasil:

By the way, you said Florida?

theyadoreshayyy:

yes florida

theyadoreshayyy:

why

kittybasil:

There's... a link in there.

kittybasil:

You have seen the links, right?

theyadoreshayyy:

no

kittybasil:

The... blue text.

kittybasil:
