its basically like saying what is 80% of 1. an example is a pie, say cut in 5 slices, you multiply .8 by 1 and get 4/5. which is 4 of the 5 slices

80% of 840 using the rule of 3 simple you can write 840 mean 100% x mean 80% cross multiplie and calcule the x value x = 80*840/100 = ? hope helped understandably easy
