yeah i was right firstly, find the area of the triangle at the bottom and then the area of the 3 side trangles. the formula you will be using is: \[ \color{dodgerblue}{\triangle}\color{lightskyblue}{A} \color{lightskyblue}{\scriptsize\text{rea}} =\frac{\color{chocolate}{b} \times \color{teal}{h}} {2} \]

ok you need to combine like terms (aka the 3's) then add the 2.6
??

for the base, it would be: \[ \color{dodgerblue}{\triangle}\color{lightskyblue}{A} \color{lightskyblue}{\scriptsize\text{rea}} =\frac{\color{chocolate}{3} \times \color{teal}{2.6}} {2} \] whilst, for ALL 3 side ones it would be: \[ \color{dodgerblue}{\triangle}\color{lightskyblue}{A} \color{lightskyblue}{\scriptsize\text{rea}} = 3 \times \Big( \frac{\color{chocolate}{3} \times \color{teal}{3}} {2} \Big) \]

do the math, add it all together, and then comment in on here and i'll confirm whether its right or not.

SunnyLandscape04:

13.5?

MississippiMan22:

You can also do the 3x2.6 i think and then divide it by 2, that's how we learned

Florisalreadytaken:

that's exactly what i did above lol

Florisalreadytaken:

for base it would be: \[ \color{dodgerblue}{\triangle}\color{lightskyblue}{Base A } \color{lightskyblue}{\scriptsize\text{rea}} = 3.9 \] for the other 3 sides, it would be: \[ \color{dodgerblue}{\triangle}\color{lightskyblue}{Side A} \color{lightskyblue}{\scriptsize\text{rea}} = 13.5 \]

Florisalreadytaken:

\[\color{dodgerblue}{\triangle}\color{lightskyblue}{Overall A } \color{lightskyblue}{\scriptsize\text{rea}} = 3.9+13.5=\underline{17.4}\]

SunnyLandscape04:

Okay, thank yu lol.
