Ashyknees2:

Which function family should be used to solve the following question? The net profit of a certain company is calculated. It is found that the profit earned triples every year. If the profit at the end of the first year is 7 million, how much profit will the company earn after 4 years?

kinglegend:

7x4=profit

TWALKER16:

no it triples every year

Ashyknees2:

A. Quadratic Function Family B. Exponential Function Family C. Absolute Value Function Family D. Linear Function Family -Its out of those

kinglegend:

its an exponent, because u do 7 to the 3rd power, and then multiply it by 4 to get your answer

The profit triples, so you would not do 7 to the third power. It would be 7 * 3^t, where t is the number of years passed. That being said, you did happen to get the right answer. That would be an exponential function.

kinglegend:

its still a exponent function, regardless, im correct
