so it's a bit wordy but read it a few times we have a basketball and the volume of it is 121.5 * pi so first let's find the radius of the basketball and then we can find the cube's side length because it's equal to the diameter and then we can find the surface area of the cube does that make sense?

Mez666:

4.5?

AZ:

The basketball is in the shape of a sphere volume of sphere = 4/3 * pi * r^3 and the volume is 121.5 *pi so can you solve for the radius?

Good job! So that's the radius the diameter is going to be 2 times that which would be ?? and that's the side length of our cube

Mez666:

9

AZ:

and then surface area of the cube = 6 * edge^2 where 9 is your edge length

Mez666:

486?

and that's your answer!

Mez666:

thx

i scrolled down and theres more

bring it on

volume of cube = side^3 and so we said that the side or edge length is 9 so what would the volume be?

Mez666:

729?

AZ:

you got it

Mez666:

yay

Mez666:

thanks
