from the top of second storey of a building window directly across the street, the angle of elevation of the top of the pole 58 degree and the angle of depression of the base is 22 degree. if the pole and the building are 40 feet apart what is the height of the pole. (math problem)
ok so, to figure this out, do like we did on the other post, find which equation to use. `cos` this is because 40ft represents the Adjacent side, and x represents the hypotenous so, \(tan(58^\circ)=\dfrac{40}{x}\) solve it. \(x=\dfrac{40}{tan(58^\circ)}\) now solve it and you get: \(\approx\) 25 so \(25\) should be your answer
really appreciated thankyou so much
You're welcome.
@florisalreadytaken please do you wan make an image about this too ? tysm
Yea, that would be greatly appreciated. If I was in school I would be able to draw an example, but I'm not.
