luv1iv:

The Nazis and people who agreed with them wanted to protect the German community from “inferior” races. Are there other examples in history or literature in which groups of people murdered innocent people in the name of “protecting” themselves? How are these examples similar to or different from the Holocaust?

Gabby07:

They would be different, in the Holocaust Nazis killed people who did not practice the same religion as them so they tried to wipe out all of the Jews. I am not aware of any other disaster such as this one.

Ashely:

During the holocaust the Nazis were killing prisoners or beating them at the smallest thing like looking at the Nazis wrong. The Nazis were not killing the prisoners to protect themselves they were doing it as cruelty. <--- (difference). The Nazis did kill inncoent people and beat them. Prisoners would go days without food and it would get to the point that the prisoners could not move at all. The prisoners were living their own hell and millions died because the Nazis were such cruel people <--- (similarities)
