A rectangular field is 130 yards long and 90 yards wide. Give the length and width of another rectangular field that has the same perimeter but a smaller area.
i would abso. murder this, @snowflake0531
imagine murdering a question
i tend to majorly overthink things.
So we have 130 and 90 as the two side lengths which means we have 220 yards in all for length and width The area for 130 x 90 = 16200 So you want to use the 220 yards and make two lengths that multiply together to less than 16200 an example would be 1 x 119 which is 119 yards lol
THat's an example, you can use other side lengths too i mean i don't think you want a field with 1 yard as the width o-O
ooo ok
but i still dont get it ;-;
Well, you can do 1 x 119 2 x 118 3 x 117 and for example 15 x 105
but the correct answer was 16 length 12 width, how do you get that answer?
that's wrong
That wouldn't be the same perimeter then
when i typed the answer that you gave me it was incorrect
there is more than one answer, and 16 x 12 is definitely not one of them
thats what the program says
