jimmy05:

Gravity is a force of attraction between objects based on their mass and their distance apart. So then why don't we observe this force more often, like between you and your Chromebook? Explain your reasoning in 2-3 sentences.

kristiannnnnt:

Gravity (on a large scale at least) is what keeps us, and our planet, from just flying off into space. The force of gravity that exists between two objects is based on the mass of the two objects divided by the square of the distance between them.

darkknight:

do you known the literal equation of gravity? fyi its \[(G*m _{1}*m _{2})/r^2\] where r is distance between the 2 objects

jimmy05:

Thanks yall

jimmy05:

imma have more questions

darkknight:

now continuing on, the mass of you and your chromebook are pretty small, and you are on the earth which is much bigger, this is why you don't observe this force b/w u and your chromebook
