Renne:

snowflake0531:

What's the question

StrawberrySkies:

that's already rounded to the nearest tenth

blakev1503:

we just helped with this same question

Renne:

The thing looks like this......i think i'm supposed to divid somthing but i'm not sure WHAT i'm supposed to divide....

Tranquility:

From your previous question 5.3 is already rounded to the nearest tenths place but 5.0 or 5.3 isn't the correct answer to your question Speed is distance over time Distance = 10 m Time = 5.3 sec Speed = distance / time = 10 / 5.3 = ??

Renne:

ughh i don't understand.....

Renne:

It's not making any since at all!

Tranquility:

Do you see that we're trying to calculate the speed?

Renne:

Yes i do!

Treybepopp1n:

use a rounding calculator

Tranquility:

Speed is equal to the distance you travel divided by the time it takes you to travel Take a look at the units of it as well. Speed has a units of M/S M stands for meters S stands for seconds Your question gives you the distance in meters and the time in seconds. You have to divide the distance of 10 meters by 5.3 seconds

Renne:

so divide 5.3 bye 10?

Tranquility:

Other way around We want the units to be METERS / SECONDS 10 meters / 5.3 seconds

Tranquility:

Does that make sense? @Renne
