Gustavo wants to buy more than two hot dogs at the city fair. There are three hot dog stands, and each is offering a different deal. Benny's Hot Dogs 8 hot dogs for $10.00 ABC Hot Dogs, Inc. 4 hot dogs for $6.00 Hot Dog Hut 1 Hot dog for $2.00 *buy one get one free* Which hot dog stand has the best deal for hot dogs?

cooldudemc2008:

edmentum is so stupid

Bbxblue23:

okay so lets cross out the first option because its too much money, now lets say hes getting 4 hotdogs (the first option would be 6 dollars but if u do the other one he would pay only 4 dollars bc of the buy one get one free which would make the other 2 free :)

cooldudemc2008:

thanks so much

cooldudemc2008:

my teacher is really demanding

Bbxblue23:

haha no problem <3

JamesTDG:

I'll make it easy on you. 1. 8 for $10 2. 8 for $12 3. 10 for $10 (you are buying 5 and getting 5 free from it) The BOGO deal is going to be more valuable

ArielaQT:

i would say that an easy way to think about it is how much is 1 hotdog at each stand.

ArielaQT:

For the first stand you have 8 hotdogs for 10 dollars, so the price of 1 hotdog would be 8/10 or .80 cents.

ArielaQT:

For the second stand you have 4 hotdogs for 6 dollars so each hotdog would be roughly 67 cents. 4/6

ArielaQT:

The third stand would be 2 hotdogs for 2 dollars so 1 dollar each hotdog.

ArielaQT:

It would really just depend on the amount of hotdogs you would want to purchase.
