What are the dimensions of the rectangle shown below? Remember to use the axes on the coordinate grid to help you. A coordinate grid is shown with scale from negative 14 to 0 to positive 14 on both x- and y-axes at increments of 2. A figure ABCD is shown with A at ordered pair negative 8, 2, B at ordered pair 8, 2, C at ordered pair 8, negative 6, and D at ordered pair negative 8, negative 6. 14 units × 4 units 16 units × 8 units 24 units × 14 units 64 units × 4 units

surjithayer:

what do you think?

surjithayer:

length=8-(-8)=8+8=16 units width=2-(-6)=2+6=8 units

surjithayer:

so what is your answer?

niahmk:

so its B?

I think with units more attention - bc. on this image one unit mean 2 so in this way for the length of 16 needed 8 units and for the width of 8 needed 4 units

jhonyy9:

@AZ any idea - opinion pls. - in this way ? tysm.

AZ:

I believe surjithayer is correct Each square is 2 units long and the dimensions of the rectangle are 8 squares long by 4 squares wide. Thus 16 by 8 units. If you also notice, 8 by 4 isn't an answer choice provided which should make you certain of your answer

surjithayer:

question says it is from -14 units to +14 units

surjithayer:

each square is 2 units B is correct.
