theyadoreshayyy:

What is the distance between the walls? 30 m 40 m 70 m 100 m

theyadoreshayyy:

theyadoreshayyy:

i had to post the ss

theyadoreshayyy:

i think its 40

theyadoreshayyy:

@snowflake0531

theyadoreshayyy:

is that correct ?

snowflake0531:

obviously not

snowflake0531:

First find the left half/part of it what is the length of that?

theyadoreshayyy:

umm.. is it 30 m for the left side ?

Florisalreadytaken:

hmm, lets do the right triangle first SOH CAH TOA we need to use TOA, since we dont want to do anything with hypotenuse. adjacent=? opposite=40 \( \theta = 45^o \) \( \tan \theta = \frac{opposite}{adjacent} \Rightarrow \tan 45^o= \frac{40}{adjacent} \) \( adjacent= ?? \)

\[ adjacent_2=\frac{40}{1} \Rightarrow adjacent=40 \] now lets do the 2nd left triangle SOH CAH TOA we have to use CAH, as we dont have anything to do with opposite, and we need to find the adjacent. adjacent=? hypotenuse=60 \( \theta = 60^o \) \( \cos \theta = \frac{adjacent}{hypotenuse} \Rightarrow \cos 60^o= \frac{adjacent}{60} \Rightarrow 0.5=\frac{adjacent}{60} \Rightarrow adjacent=60 \times 0.5 \) \( adjacent_1 = 30\)

Florisalreadytaken:

now all that's left to do, is sum it up \[ 40+30 =70 \] and nah yeah thats your answer
