As for what happens when the determinant is 0, if you checked out that purplemath link I had sent in the previous post- it did mention it.

But I found another website that explains it better

"Cramer’s Rule will give us the unique solution to a system of equations, if it exists. However, if the system has no solution or an infinite number of solutions, this will be indicated by a determinant of zero."
