aidenj:

snowflake0531:

\[a^2+b^2=c^2\]

snowflake0531:

Can you plug the sides into it

aidenj:

5.3^2+4.7^2= is that right

crispyrat:

no 5.3 is the hypountenue so its c and 5.3 is a side

crispyrat:

srry i meant 4.7 is a side

snowflake0531:

\[4.7^2 + b^2=5.3^2\]

aidenj:

ok

aidenj:

so .6

aidenj:

is that right

crispyrat:

no, I would reccomened using a calculator and just do the math b^2=5.3^2-4.7^2

snowflake0531:

Pretty sure it would be square root 6 \[22.09 + b^2 = 28.09~~~~~b^2=6 ~~~~b=\sqrt6\]

aidenj:

6
