Sam scored 43, 48, and 42 points on three tests. How many points should he get on the fourth test to get an average score of 50? 83 points 67 points 45.75 points 44.33 points

YasssPoo:

Average score of 50 points from 4 test require Soupulative 200 points. 50*4 = 200. Sam already scored 43 + 48 + 42 points, so he scored 133 points. In order to hit Soupulative 200, he need to score 200 - 133 = 67 points on the forth test.

snowflake0531:

We can set the equation as \[\frac{ 43+48+42+x }{ 4 } = 50\] you can multiply both sides by 4, then subtract the other 3 values from it

YasssPoo:

given 3 scores already and we need to find the fourth such that he passes the average score of 50 ∴ the score should be 67

YasssPoo:

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
