antman1:

Write three functions. In the first function, y should vary directly with x. In the second function, y should vary inversely with x. In the third function, the relationship between x and y should be neither inverse variation nor direct variation. Describe the graph of each function and give a real-world example for each.

jhonyy9:

like a first question do you know what is a direct and what is an invers variation ?

antman1:

i have heard of it but no because it is kind of complicated

jhonyy9:

for example x = 3y \[2x = \frac{ 3 }{ y }\] so what you think the first one what variation is and what is the second one ?

antman1:

i think the first is 2x-3/y and the second one is x=3y

jhonyy9:

no i ve asked you what is direct and what indirect variation ?

antman1:

idk

antman1:

i really have a hard time

jhonyy9:

x = 3y in this case x varias directly with y so the second case will be the indirect variation

antman1:

so what's the answer?
