The "scale factor" would be the ratio of the two triangles. In other words, how much bigger or smaller is the dashed triangle, compared to the solid triangle? For example, if the dashed triangle is twice as big as the solid triangle, the scale factor would be 2; if the dashed triangle is half the size of the solid triangle, the scale factor would be 1/2. It's difficult to say what the answer would be without more information about the triangles. Do you have an image you could share, or maybe the lengths of the triangle sides?
