same concept as the last one
AZ:
angle = 1/2 * (big arc - small arc)
the angle is 40
the big arc is 7x
the small arc is 3x
imyoursgirlsgirl:
ok so set it up one more time for me so it clicks in my head
AZ:
angle is 40
angle = 1/2 * (big arc - small arc)
so
40 = 1/2 * (big arc - small arc)
big arc is 7x
small arc is 3x
40 = 1/2 * (7x - 3x)

ok so i add 3 to both side?
AZ:
no, you have to move the 1/2 first
multiply 2 on both sides
AZ:
multiplying by 2 will get rid of the 1/2 on the right side
and so what is 40 * 2 = ?
imyoursgirlsgirl:
80
sorry again

so now we went from
40 = 1/2(7x - 3x)
to get
80 = 7x - 3x
can you simplify it and solve for x?
What is 7x - 3x = ?
imyoursgirlsgirl:
4x
AZ:
Good so now we have
80 = 4x
divide 4 on both sides, what is x?
imyoursgirlsgirl:
20=1
AZ:
4x divided by 4 is going to be x
so 20 = x
