Tyrion:

Is (x − 4) a factor of f(x) = x3 − 2x2 + 5x + 1? Use either the remainder theorem or the factor theorem to explain your reasoning.

darkknight:

basically either use polynomial long division, or try to factor it out. If you can factor it out or divide without remainder then its a factor. I suggest try to factor it out because it is easier

darkknight:

Do you know the first step in doing this?

Tyrion:

u add the similars right

Isolation:

da remainder be 53

Isolation:

the first way i did it is long division, the second is synthetic division if you know what that is
