It's another circle question~! For this one you can use the equation for circle area: \[A=\pi*r ^{2}\] So, take the radius you're given (12) and square that. Then multiply the result of that by pi (3.14, as the question instructs) and you should have your answer

Tonycoolkid21:

3.14 x 12

Rx1nyDxyz:

Ok, ill help.

Rx1nyDxyz:

Do you know what the area of a circle is?

Tonycoolkid21:

no

Rx1nyDxyz:

Ok, if yo don't already know, thr area of a circle is " (A = π r²).

Rx1nyDxyz:

Which, in today's words, would be said as Pi r squared.

Rx1nyDxyz:

What do you think u do now?

Rx1nyDxyz:

Hello?

Tonycoolkid21:

idk

Rx1nyDxyz:

Ok.. you put the formula i just gave you into action..do you know how?

Tonycoolkid21:

what do you mean by that

Extrinix:

So, you remember the \(A=\pi r^2\) equation I mentioned earlier today? Use that equation, To find the radius, it is \(r=\dfrac{1}{2}d\) so you would plug this in, \(r=\dfrac{1}{2}(12)\) which equals \(6\) now you plug that into the equation \(A=\pi r^2\) \(A=(3.14) (6)^2\) \(\rightarrow\) \(A=113.04\) so \(113.04\) would be your answer.
