For the graph I just know like the center would be 21, and the one thingy would be 5.2
Hmm how much do you know about standard deviation? |dw:1620590411828:dw|
1 standard deviation above and below represents 68% of the values 2 would include 95% of the data 3 standard deviations includes 99.7% of the data
okay so then how do i get the points of inflections-
and yea, I did take notes on the 68 95 99 thing but I just don't get how to use it
so it's just going to be the mean + 1 SD the mean - 1 SD the mean + 2 SD the mean - 2 SD the mean + 3 SD the mean - 3 SD 21 + 5.2 21 - 5.2 21 + (2*5.2) 21 - (2*5.2) 21 + (3*5.2) 21 - (3*5.2)
oh, kay o-o
those are just going to be your x-values
when you get to calculus, you'll learn about how to find inflection points basically when the second derivative = 0
oh, kay e.e lol
wait actually I don't think it would include the second and third SD it should just be the first SD
and so for A it would be 50% since 21 divides it in half how about for b tho- there's 15.8, should i just do that? 50 + 34?
the concept of inflection is that the graph changes from concave to convex or vice versa
Probably a better image
o-o
But the concept of inflection in general
if it doesn't make any sense, don't worry about it lolol Just the mean + 1 SD the mean - 1 SD 21 + 5.2 21 - 5.2
for c 13.5+68 = 81.5?
where did you get 13.5 from 21 + 5.2 = 26.2 21 - 5.2 = 15.8 so from 16 to 26 is 1 standard deviation which is how much
but it's from 11 o-o
which is minus 2 sd to positive sd o-O
ohhhh you're right
