Howard needs help composing a speech because his teacher said his speech notes do not show 'audience awareness.' He is one of twelve students invited to share an acceptance speech to the members of his state legislature and members of the National Federation of State Poetry Societies. His award is a cash prize given to each of the twelve state winners of a poetry contest. Read his speech notes and help Howard find three things that need a change. Tell WHY you suggest that change.

If you post the speech notes, we might be able to read them and make some suggestions.
If they need more "audience awareness", there are lots of possibilities for what specific improvements they need, but generally that would point to considering who you're talking to and making the points of the speech fit the audience? Not only the points but also how they're presented.

Anyway, you should post the notes, so we can have a better idea! :)
