Rylee88:

I said 12, 4

Alexis1415:

hmmm

Rylee88:

Read "Queen Alexis"

Alexis1415:

bahahah ok

Alexis1415:

so 2:4 and 4:8 and 6:12

Rylee88:

Well it sas ONE gallon of the BLUE paint..

Florisalreadytaken:

this is a simple numeric proportion -- you can even solve it by using the rule of 3, or just finding the half of \( (2:4) \), which would be the coordinates of what we're asked. this one is simpler.

Rylee88:

So its 2:4? XD

Florisalreadytaken:

no. \[ \frac{(2:4)}{2} = (1:2) \Rightarrow (x:y) \] x represents the x axis: Blue paint ammount y represents the y axis: white paint ammount

Rylee88:

Yea.

Florisalreadytaken:

\[ y \Rightarrow \text{White paint ammount}\] look above -- whats the value of y?

Rylee88:

12?

Florisalreadytaken:

are you being serious? \[ (1:2) \Rightarrow (x:y) \]

Rylee88:

IM SORRY LOL, IM NOT SMART XD

Florisalreadytaken:

1 is x 2 is y we're asked to insert y so the answer is 2 -- cmon, its not that hard

Rylee88:

It is for me! XD
