Well, with lifelong fitness there eventually comes a time where you know.. your knees, elbows or fingers tend to swell up from exercise.
On a regular basis you can have sore muscles, it helps to get you stronger on the long run but the main risks would be dehydration and stiffness in certain bones.
you could protect yourself from these risks by hydrating and then having proper workout routines.
