@astrid1

GoodFellow:

Volume \[V = \pi r^2 h\]

100kpimpcess:

yes

GoodFellow:

Then u can calculate right?

100kpimpcess:

yes so what do we caculate because the radius is 6 n its squared .

GoodFellow:

Yes, the value gets squared and the units become \[inch^2\]

GoodFellow:

altogether units become \[inch^3\]

GoodFellow:

a volume expressed in cubic inches

100kpimpcess:

ok

100kpimpcess:

i got 36 when i squared the 6 now what do i do

GoodFellow:

multiply with h

100kpimpcess:

i got 108

GoodFellow:

yes, proceed to the final answer

GoodFellow:

with \[\pi\]

100kpimpcess:

so divided or multiply? because \[\pi \] is 3.14

GoodFellow:

if you do not have a cal, that is the value to be used

100kpimpcess:

i do have a calculator

it's a multiplication

100kpimpcess:

so 108 times 3.14

GoodFellow:

nice

100kpimpcess:

i got 339.12

GoodFellow:

okay

100kpimpcess:

thts ma answer? .

GoodFellow:

yes

100kpimpcess:

ok thank u

GoodFellow:

try the same with the pi symbol input instead of 3.14 for pi. it's a little difference in the decimal places.
