Gucchi:

Which pair has examples of a balanced budget at the personal and national levels? Arthur budgeted $100 for expenses and spent $75. A government agency budgets $8,000 for the year and spends $9,000. Elise spent $300 on a new phone after earning $200. A government agency has to let go staff after a budget shortfall. Jessica spends exactly as much as she makes. A government agency budgets $20,000 for the year and spends $20,000. Harvey saves some money each month to buy a car. The government sets money aside to fund a future project.

Gucchi:

Am I right with C?

Gucchi:

@astrid1

Gucchi:

anyone?

MrMudd183:

Which ones do you think you can eliminate?

Gucchi:

A & D

Gucchi:

I was between B & D

Gucchi:

I mean C

Gucchi:

B & C

MrMudd183:

I agree with getting rid of A, but I'm leaning towards keeping D

MrMudd183:

if you look at C, Jessica didn't properly balance her budget...she spent every penny she earned, so she has no money left over

Gucchi:

Hmm, okk

MrMudd183:

So we can eliminate both A & C Which leaves us with B & D

MrMudd183:

B is stating that Elise spent more money than she earned so we can eliminate that one Which only leaves us wiht D

Gucchi:

Hmm ok but

Gucchi:

I looked on brainly and ppl saying its wrong

MrMudd183:

D is saying that Harvey is putting money aside each month for a new car, so he is properly trying to maintain the balance It's also saying the government is putting aside money for a new project

Gucchi:

take a look

Gucchi:

second answer

Gucchi:

another link

MrMudd183:

It's saying BALANCED budget, i'm reading the last answer choice as the only one where both examples save money instead of spending it all

Gucchi:

wdym balanced budget?

Gucchi:

both questions are the same no?

MrMudd183:

@gucchi wrote:

please allow me to explain better

MrMudd183:

the question is asking for a balanced budget a balanced budget is where you spend some money you earn but you save as much as you spend or vice versa

Gucchi:

Alright, i mean ill just go with D

MrMudd183:

When I read the other answer choices I thought they were wrong and D made the most sense to me as a balanced budget, but if you want to believe other sites go ahead...i don't care

Gucchi:

Nah, ill just go with yours

MrMudd183:
