I mean, this seems to be an opinion because it's asking do you think the court was justified in their decision. If I answered this, I'd agree with the SC decision. As stated in the video, the SC declared the Judiciary Act of 1789 was unconstitutional. This act became null and void. They didn't have the power to make neither Jefferson nor Madison act in this situation. The court couldn't issue the writ of mandamus seeing as the Constitution didn't provide them with the power to do so. Hopefully that helps you.
