ehm ok, so just to make a mathwise solution of whatever they sid above:

$$-(x + 2) = 2(3x - 6)$$
$$-x -2=6x-12  $$
$$  -x-6x=-12+2 $$
$$  -7x=10 $$
$$ x=\frac{10}{7} $$
