mariah16:

105 divided by -21 =-5

mariah16:

bc u divied -21 on both sides

cookieoreo11:

|dw:1621533592211:dw|

cookieoreo11:

x = 5?

mariah16:

yes

mariah16:

60 divided by 12 = 5

mariah16:

cookieoreo11:

im slow at math for math

mariah16:

fr tho same

mariah16:

cookieoreo11:

congrats

mariah16:

lol

cookieoreo11:

ayo can anyone help us out over here

cookieoreo11:

7 ( - 4x + 3) = -91

mariah16:

hi josh

mariah16:

marleen x=4

mariah16:

for number 3

mariah16:

lmao

cookieoreo11:

who dat

cookieoreo11:

wrong name

mariah16:

wym whos what

cookieoreo11:

wait whats the answer

mariah16:

dude number 3 is x=4

cookieoreo11:

ight

cookieoreo11:

x=4 ? right

mariah16:

bc -112 divided -28 ... x=4

mariah16:

you divide -28 on both sides

Extrinix:

Here: \(7 ( - 4x + 3) = -91\) factor it out \(-28x + 21 = -91\) find \(x\) --- \(-28x + 21 = -91\) subtract 21 from both sides \(-28x=-112\) divide by \(-28\) on both sides \(x=4\)

cookieoreo11:

thank you so much

mariah16:

and -28 and -28 cancel out and your left with -112 divided -28 ... x=4

cookieoreo11:

dang your smart

GoodFellow:

As a shortcut, I would say first divide both sides by 7, it simplifies the process with smaller numbers

Yeah, but that's not how you're suppose to answer if you need to show your work in class.
