DariaMaddox1:

At the beginning of an experiment, there are 600 grams of contaminants. Each hour, half of the contaminants are filtered out. How many grams of contaminants remain after 4 hours?

i can help you

AZ:

You start out with 600 grams Every hour, it reduces by half Initially - 600 1 hour - 600/ 2= 300 after another hour 2 hours after the initial, you would decrease AGAIN by half so 300/ 2 = ?? and then another hour later (that is, 3 hours after the beginning of the experiment) would be half of the number you just got and then to find out how many grams of contaminants are left after 4 hours, divide again by 2
