PapiBella:

Wait is this math or something else?

CripQUEZZ:

Math

KingPizza:

this is trigonometry but there wasn't an option for that so I had to put mathematics

PapiBella:

Well I don't do that yet so I can't help you with this I thought it was math because it said that And I'm a bit good at math well If imma be honest I'm not even good at anything I'm always trying to help people even if I don't know the answer so I'm so sorry that I can't help

CripQUEZZ:

This is math ur jus looking for the hypotenuse right?

KingPizza:

no I have to find the angle of depression I just know the angle of Depression and the hypotenuse are not the same thing

CripQUEZZ:

Ok so use the formula tan y = opposite/adjacent

KingPizza:

well then I guess we don't need to find the hypotenuse?? Because we already have the opposite and adjacent side marked

CripQUEZZ:

Yeah

KingPizza:

@cripquezz what do we do next?

AZ:

You know you have to use tan x = opposite/ adjacent what is the value of the opposite side? and of the adjacent side?

AZ:

To then find the value of 'x' you need to use arctan or \(\tan^{-1}\) so basically if you had \(\tan a = b\) then to figure out the angle, 'a' you would do \(\arctan (b) = a\) some calculators might have a button that says \(\tan^{-1}\) instead of arctan and remember to be in degrees and not radians when you're putting the numbers into your calculator
