Please help. Screen shot posted below. I only need help on Part B.
In order to make the best line of fit, you need to draw a line in between the points equally so that way it goes through at leat 2 points on the graph.
what 2 points does your line go through if you draw your line in between them?
if you draw a line, you can see that there are 4 points that come in equally to each other. Try making the line of best fit through that?
@itsmehjay Would it work if the line of best fit starts at (0,12) and goes through (2.5, 11), (5, 10), (7.5, 10), (17.5, 5), and (27.5, 1) or will it not work
if you graphed it i'm pretty sure it will
good job~!
The y-intercept would be 12 since (0,12) is where the line of best fit crosses the y-axis.
@itsmehjay To find the slope I 7sed the points (0,12) and (27.5,1) Slope= rise over run(rise/run) So the Slope = 11 over 27.5(11/27.5) or 0.4 Did I do it correctly.
It should be a negative slope of -x so that it goes between the most points
you ignore outliers on these if i remember correctly
