how can we understand that it REALLY is a square though? well says that"this figure is a REGULAR polygon", what the above reply didnt mention -- he just eye guessed it most likely if it wasnt a regular polygon we would get into quadratic formula and bllahbllah, BUT since it is we can say it is a square. thus, \[ x^2+4=x^2+x \] \[ x^2+4-x^2=x^2+x-x^2 \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ (\text{writing this just so you see what i did)} \] \[ 4=x \] so nah yeah
