I think, if im doing this correctly then your answer would be 31. since i cut it off. to make it be 2*2=4, and 9*3=27 4+27= 31.

Ok, so since you have a compound shape you have to split it into 2.

yours already had all of the lengths and heights

SO since ur bottom half was a 2 long and 2 high I cut it off right there, and since ur top length is 9. and ur top height is 3. I just multiplied and added them together
