Ardin:

How do you do cosA over cosB? I forgot how to tell which is the opposite and adjacent, since if i remember correctly cos is adjacent over opposite, or the opposite of that formula

Ardin:

Ardin:

its def not interchangeable, its either 4.24/3 or 3/4.24 and then i think the opposite formula on the bottom?

mhanifa:

This is an isosceles triangle. So A and B are equal. Their cosine would be same as well

Ardin:

so either 4.24/3 or 3/4.24 over itself? That would be one right?

mhanifa:

Cosine = adjacent leg / hypotenuse

mhanifa:

Hypotenuse is always the longest side

Ardin:

right

mhanifa:

What do you think?

Ardin:

3/4.24 i think

mhanifa:

Correct

Ardin:

it would still end up as 1 right? since the formula goes over itself

mhanifa:

Yes, regardless the value they are same. So their quotient is 1.

Ardin:

ok, thank you!

mhanifa:

You are welcome!
